Our main priority at the design stage of this model kit was the scale implementation of all the essential working and running functions of the full-size vehicle, but without neglecting the scale appearance, which is so important to the modeller. The original truck is built in Munich, and our model is an accurate reproduction to a scale of 1 : 14.5. Like the original machine this is a powerful,hard-working vehicle with a full set of hydraulically operated functions. The kit is of extraordinary quality, manufactured using nothing but the very highest-quality materials, and builds into a model which is ideally suited for carrying out awkward tasks over difficult terrain. The base kit contains the complete static model including the appropriate tools and building instructions, packed in a comb-jointed wooden case,but without drive system components, hydraulics and electronics; the expansion components can be ordered as separate function sets. The GRAUPNER MAN-TG-A M hydraulic truck really is a true reflection of the full-size vehicle: durable, reliable in operation, designed in every respect to ensure ease of operation and maintenance. Like its big brother, the stainless steel ladder frame with reinforcing cross-members screwed to it formsthe load-bearing backbone of the machine. Indestructible industrial-grade Faulhaber motors, the highest-quality drive and hydraulic system components and stainless steel articulated shafts (not included in the base kit) endow this model with the power and reliability required to cope effortlessly with the tasks for which it was designed. The working steering axle is of scale design and all-metal construction. The driver's cab includes ametal mechanism for the tipping system, and features true-scale internal fittings: the doors open, the seats look like leather. Another accurately reproduced feature is the fully working Meiler tipper bridge of all-metal construction with metal fittings, with the option of folding the side walls down and tipping loads to three sides. The slotted aluminium wheels are ballraced and machined from solid. The final touch to the kit is theminiature hex-head screws used to attach the wheels - exactly as on the original vehicle.
