A little history
Conceived for the turn of Europe in 1934, Messerschmitt 108 B became a plane of record.

With this plane, Elly Beinhorn, between-others, gained many successes, for example Mrs Beinhorn stole the 13.08.1935 of Gleiwitz to Istanbul with return towards Berlin in 13,5 hours, that is to say a distance covered of 3750 km.

Mrs Beinhorn gave thus him the nickname of '' Taïfun ''. In 1933, the Factory of Bavaroise planes received the ordering of a private plane quadriqlace.

Still today, Me 108 does not fear the comparison with the modern private planes.

The 108 is to Me a monoplane with four-seater low wing of an entirely metal construction of a beautiful aerodynamic pace. For its transport, the panels of the wing can be folded back against the fuselage by actuating a levierqui simply loosens the attaching bolts.

The retractable landing gear is actuated by a mechanism with endless screw which makes it possible to return it and to leave it with a simple crank.

An acoustic signal which starts on the position of the idle of the throttle control lever informed the pilot that the train left.
